Vetting procedure

Our educational and selection missions require a rigorous vetting procedure to be on par with your educational & tutoring requirements.


When it comes to finding the perfect match for your household, so that both parties can be happily satisfied, - family and tutor alike -, we are convinced that there is no room for amateurism.

To ascertain that tutors will deliver the highest standard of teaching, we have put a lengthy vetting procedure in place allowing us to gauge both the professionalism and integrity of the tutors on our books, however time-consuming this may be.

We carry out face-to-face interviews with each tutor; all tutors  & teachers are subject to an Enhanced CRB Check (police check from the Criminal Record Bureau).

Please, bear in mind that each applicant will systematically need to produce documented evidence of their eligibility to work in the UK. This is a legal requirement.

Additionally, in selecting tutors and teachers, we adhere to a strict interview policy whereby:


 Interview policy:


1/ We interview all candidates on a face-to-face basis. We do not register any tutor without a face-to-face interview.

2/ We do not put forward tutors without a face-to-face interview.

3/ Tutors must produce original degrees, any relevant certificates, or "diplômes certifiés conformes", etc.

4/ We require a minimun of 2 years' experience in teaching or tutoring.

5/ Tutors are required to produce at least 2 written & checkable references from families/employers.

6/ We check C.V. inconsistencies and gaps in their work history. We are open to valid & checkable explanations.

7/ Tutors must provide their National Insurance Number details, even though tutors are self-employed.

8/ Each tutor is required to produce a recent enhanced CRB disclosure, "Extrait de casier judiciare" from Nantes, or other police check(s) from their country of origin.

9/ Tutors will need to produce 2 proofs of identity and address, such as: passport, valid work permits & visas to work in the UK, driving license, birth certificate and utility bills etc.

10/ Tutors are required to provide 2 passport-sized photographs.

11/ We must stress upon prospective tutors the importance of confidentiality as to any household where they will be put forward to.

12/ We will not forward information regarding Tutors & Clients without the consent of both parties as per the Data Protection Act 1998.
